Course Goals:
By the end of this course you will understand how to recognize, identify, and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities. Further, you will learn how to generate and evaluate ideas for goods/services and learn how to marketing those goods/services successfully. You will learn to ‘cost’ a start up and how to write a professional business plan. You will learn how to analyze various business issues to arrive at the most appropriate solution—and you will learn how to communicate with others on a professional level.

Required Materials:
Intermediate knowledge of computers and an open mind to learn new concepts

Daily work: 50%
Projects/Exams: 30%
Tests/Quizzes: 20%

Class Participation/
Group Projects: All students are expected to participate actively during class. In addition, students are expected to work within teams to complete various projects throughout the course.

Students will be allowed to make-up missing assignments for excused absences; however it is the student’s responsibility to secure make-up assignments from the instructor and complete them within 5 days of receiving the assignment(s). Take advantage of “Open Lab” Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 3:35pm.
